My Approach
We each experience the world from our own unique perspective. Unresolved pain and suffering can keep us from experiencing ourselves and others clearly and interfere with our relationships, our choice-making, our health, and our ability to work and concentrate. Healing starts when we acknowledge and move toward accepting what is.
I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapist and enjoy helping others to feel more authentically themselves. My work is trauma-informed, non-pathologizing, and strengths-based. I understand the inherent differences and intersectionalities that impact our mental health and status in the world. Even though we often feel broken, we are, at our core, seeking some kind of wholeness. Working together, I help people to ground in the present moment and move towards a life worth living.

Want to know more about Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
Does it ever feel like one part of you wants something and another part of you wants something completely different? Internal Family Systems (IFS) explores how we experience our internal world as a system of unique parts. IFS helps us to name and understand our own unique parts, such as the inner critic, the rebel and the perfectionist. Each part expresses different thoughts, strategies and emotions that may have helped us to survive, but may be holding onto pain and keeping us from moving forwards in our lives. Through fostering a compassionate dialogue between parts, the intention is to create more inner harmony, cooperation and relief from suffering. In doing so what emerges is a deeper connection to our true "Self"—a compassionate, free and wise awareness that can creatively respond to life’s challenges.
